I founded Atabey Botanica after my cancer journey, when my skin needed extraordinary care and my body could no longer tolerate what once seemed ordinary.
During treatment and recovery, I wanted skincare made with ingredients I recognized and trusted. I didn't have the time or energy to research long ingredient lists or question what I was putting on already sensitive skin. I simply wanted a nourishing, plant-based option that felt as gentle as the care I was trying to give myself.
When I couldn't find it, I created it.
I returned to the botanical traditions my ancestors had trusted for generations and began crafting body butters with thoughtfully chosen botanical ingredients, free from the synthetic fillers and unnecessary additives that no longer aligned with what my body needed.
Each day, applying body butter became more than skincare. It became a quiet ritual, a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect with myself. In that stillness, I learned that self care isn't a luxury. It's non-negotiable.
